Won't start

96 banshee, Did rings, got back together, was breaking in and it died. Figured out I had a broken reed, replaced them and it started and ran idled great, would start first kick, went to take it for first ride and it abruptly died, pretty much same simptoms as when reed broke. Now won't start, has spark, fuel, compression. Almost sounds like it fires out of time but not sure why it would do that, timing plate tight, haven't messed with anything.

Flywheel tight and key intact?

Pick-up coil gap in spec?

Air leak possibly if you have spark, fuel, compression, what's your compression (static)?

Need to check pickup gap but all is tight, doesn't seem to have moved. I haven't done a leak down but compression is 140 in both, was running perfect and died abruptly is what confuses me most...

Wires melted on right side of airbox from hitting the pipe?

I will look closer for that, did check spark again and realized it is weak and only sparks about once per kick, I do appreciate the feedback.

Unscrew the plug caps and ohm them. Should be 5k resistance. Also check pickup coil gap .018 , no rust on nubs

make sure your plugs are good and gapped properly and you have a good spark. bluish spark is a strong spark orange/yellow is a weak spark. could also be an air leak or pull the flywheel cover and make sure your stator is in good shape and is timed
