Have a banshee rebuilt the whole motor maybe 10hrs ago and came across a leak from the case half bolt I cleaned it all up and put Yamaha bond along the threads where the gap is as pictured seems to be running fine to me do I have to split cases? To seal up the case halfs better. Also where the rag is looks like there is a little hole from casting the lower half engine case looks like it was drilled in 1/4 of inch. There's a few it's from the factory where they mold the cases but it looked like a tiny crack where it was leaking so I put some jb weld for aluminum. What are your thoughts. bf1d3e287be4dfd8977245c0fe9fb29e.jpg

Do a leakdown test. If that's good, and it's not leaking lots, I wouldn't worry. Clean that area good with brake cleaner then 3bond it.

That hole is to drain water from top of engine.

The hole doesn't go though it just from when they caster the case you can see looks like there spots where it was drilled and stopped. It looks cracked there dk how than could of happened

If it's in fact leaking from one of those studs its not sealed properly . Either you didn't clean it well enouph for sealer to bond of didn't do it properly

Cleaned it all spotless with aluma bright and then when around with thinner to get all the old bond off will I be good if I can get it sealed up?

Ive had the studs leak tranny fluid before. I left it that way till the next tear down. Never had a problem because of it. Obviously mine didnt seal perfect around a stud so it leaked a tad. Its fine.
