Dan7305 Posted March 3, 2016 Report Share Posted March 3, 2016 So, I searched, but I think I have a unique issue. Recently bought a banshee, working on fixing it up. It had a bastard of a welded shifter on it, bought a used stock one off eBay, and the stock one points about vertical when the bolt is lined up with the groove in the shaft. So the shift shaft isn't clocked properly. I can grind in a new groove no problem, but how important is the clocking of the shift shaft? Should I tear it apart now, or will it be fine. The jugs are currently out being ported so I don't want to rock it too much and have the pistons moving unsupported. According to the previous owner it did shift fine. Kawa, yeah, looking at it the made the bastard shifter to fit this shaft location, then it hit on the foot peg, so they just took the peg off.
