Just a seal. What brand seal did you replace it with?

 

Takes some patience to get a new one in there with out any distortion. Use a little sheet metal screw to screw in to the old seal, and pull it with pliers. That keeps guys from prying it with a screw driver and marring the surfaces. Check that there aren't any nicks or burrs on the shaft before the next one goes in. Also, a little grease goes a long way.
