kawa110 Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 (edited) When I first took my shee to dmv in 29 palms california the the dmv clerk gave me hard time cuz my shee didn't have smog stickers and the vin on frame wasn't same as motor #, obviously she didn't know a damn thing and I was unable to get anywhere on that visit, kept asking me whers the manufacturer smog stickers and did you build this thing? Sandking Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Typically a custom vehicle of any sort that you want to register in California has to be cleared then numbered through Highway Patrol. They inspect it for stolen parts, check receipts, then number it. After an inspection you go to DMV and register it. If it's a show piece and never going on public or federal lands then no need to bother. If it has vin or id's removed those and only those parts are destroyed. Quote
