YFZ oil leak. help!

Recommended Posts

Do you have a picture of the leak? Leaking base gasket? There are no screws on a yfz cylinder just 4 head bolts and 2 studs. Don't put any sealer on it just put a new gasket. The only things that take sealer are the case halves

but the leak is right inbetween those two long bolts or studs in this pic. dead center,  is this bad to run it like this?

I wouldn't run it. Sounds like a head gasket but it shouldn't be oil unless there's another problem maybe coolant. Any smoke while it's running or coolant loss?

It takes a while to start. But I'm thinking that is a carb issue. Once it does start it will throw some smoke out of the exhaust(gytr) just a bit it does stop. The stuff coming out is a jet black liquid
