Hockey390 Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 Whenever I am in nutral and shift down to first gear, i hear a loud noise. The noise sounds like either 2 objects hitting together hard, or maybe an object that is spinning coming in contact with an object that is not. If youve never had/dealt with this problem you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'm hoping someone who has had this problem will see this and knows how to fix. Thanks Quote
Wassup350 Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 I dont know how loud it is but i'm pretty sure mine does the same thing. It could be that your clutch is slipping. I dont think its that big of a deal though. As long as your getting the power to the ground and it goes allright you should be fine. Quote
SICK BOY Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 I never had this problem before, but do you think it could be the clutch basket cushions? Quote
Hockey390 Posted November 22, 2003 Author Report Posted November 22, 2003 It isnt that important because its not effecting anything in my clutch. It is just annoying and is quite loud. Still waiting on someone to post that has fixed it before. Quote
Banshee0028 Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 Well, I think mine is actually doing the same.....Makes a loud "thunk" going into gear sometimes when hot. My gear oil is clean too.... I am thinking it has something to do with the clutch since sometimes I push in the clutch to push the Shee around and its "stuck in gear"! Even with the clutch pulled it wont move. Then once i finally get it in N it seems to work again GOtta figure out what that is?!!!!! Quote
Hockey390 Posted November 23, 2003 Author Report Posted November 23, 2003 SOUNDS the same... but i dont have any troubles with the clutch. It is flawless except for the noise. trying to push it with just the clutch pulled still works fine, anyone else out there getting this? Quote
Aussie Quad Racer Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 you droping into 1st at idle? i is most likely that your clutch drags slightly and the primary shaft in the box is rotating when you drop it into gear. Nothing to worry about. Quote
Hockey390 Posted November 26, 2003 Author Report Posted November 26, 2003 I know it doesnt make a difference, but is there anyway to fix it? (without spending mad cash) Quote
