when I first got my bike it shifted fine never really put to much time on it maybe an hour tops changed the oil and clutch cable on it and got the time to ride it for a good 4hrs when trying to launch it from first a few times it wouldnt go from first to second it would just get stuck in neutral and when that happened I would try to shift up and it would grind a little, its a bone stock bike. Any ideas?

check shift shaft, alignment pin and star.  then verify the clutch is adjusted right,. most likel;y you will need to replace the shift shaft, pin, and do some modifications to the shaft and the star.  the shaft and alignment pin are high wear items and depending on ride time will need replaced every 1 -3 years.

if even after doing all this it still has a problem ( and it will)  you should consider a complete transmission overhaul, modification.  the stock modified trans is one of the best modifications you can do.  lots of shops do this and some do it wrong or very incomplete.  to be done correctley it has to be completely disasembled.  and unfortunatley most times you will find other things that need to be done as well...
