trickedcarbine Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Worst case scenario: heads just keep desinigrating and neither method works. At that point, just zip the head off any stuck bolt. Remove the cover and there should be a decent chunk of material to grab with vice grips. Quote
ETR174 Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 impact driver ftw. It turns for you as you hit it! X2 I love my impact driver. I ordered Cascade bolts and when I replaced the old screws I used my impact driver and this bolt head was torn to shit from the previous owner and these bolts cracked loose in one hit. I just turned it out with the driver and got the bolts out, no hassle. Quote
Rage_kage Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 I had that happen with a bolt on my Yamaha insert on the clutch case. I took a good, sharp drill bit and drilled through it until the head came off. It left a decent stud and no cutoff wheel marks Quote
