Help with 1/4 turn twist throttle

Rapture

Recommended Posts

Just installed a 1/4 turn vortex twist throttle (tors eliminate).

Installation was easy, but the problem is it seems to be quite stiff when turning it and also not very smooth. It kind of judders rather than a progressive smooth feeling. Anyone had this before or got any ideas? Ive sprayed load of grease down the cable too.

Nope I've had the whole thing apart, checked and greased everything. I think it could just be a shit streamline cable. Probably why they don't make them anymore..

Heres a vid anyway

That's fucky. Pul the cable, hold it vertical and run brake cleaner through it till it comes clear. Then hit it with WD-40 or some equivalent lube. If it's still choppy get another cable. Pull the slides and check for flaking or dings. Little lube on them as well.

By the way, that thing is comin along. Looking clean for sure.
