K&N filters in sand

I use pantyhose for mine. I've had problems with my outer wears clogging up

Get an air box..then u won't need the outerwear

Is that with no air box?

No lid, my Serval has no box and 2 years on that.

Do u not use outerwear on your serval?

I don't care where I'm riding Id keep the air box on if I had no outerwear

I even quit using them on my kid's Yfz450's (3 of em) K&N in box no lid, kept having to peel the outerwear back mid-day to run.

 

and I always wipe out to intake duct to check for sand, etc... when cleaning the filter,  always clean since I started to grease the flange.

 

But, hey, to each their own, that's just me. Lots of folks run outerwears, just not me.

It depends where u ride as well..windy dusty etc
