Cotton eyed Joe Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 man last weekend i bailed tapped in 5th gear, fractured my skull in 2 different spots, got 6 staples in the back of my head and lost mucho skin on my leg and ass. the shee is all good it rolled once and stopped after runnin over my leg I rag-dolled about 100 yards from my bike b4 I stopped, gotta remember to strap my helmet next time So its looking like this trip will be the next time I hit the dunes and prolly the last time this season, Let's rock!!! LOL the next time you hit the dunes eh? Hope you're all right man.... I think I was lucky all that got busted up was my banshee and I received a ton of bruises internal and external. Quote

DAyyyummm! Didnt anyone ever tell you NOT to bail? Crashing is bad hehe Hope ya heal fast. The first few days are the worst... I'm new the group but I ready for a Dumont trip, party of two maybe six getting ready to show you east coast boys how to ride real west coast dunes lol lol , I have been their three times it is worth the drive! You will remember those dunes intill it is your turn and you ride the big dune in the sky. If any one needs any info on Dumont settup I might be able to help a little, Later Quote

Lets just say that when they are put in place... they dont do it nicely. 3 of mine went deep enough that they actually went into my skull... So when they were removed.. it was not very pleasant! How close is the nearest Gas station/convenience store? Entry fee to the park? Any unusual requirements like St. Anthony has gotten such as a 9" x 9" red flag on a pole no less that 8 feet from the ground? Quote

If my wife reads that its all over... She's gonna be looking for it now Stan: There are NO facilities. Your going to be at the base of Death Valley... what would you expect? The closest anything is back at Baker approx 35 miles away. Maybe I'll charge you a fin to dump in my motorhome hehe **mental note #87263423 Do not camp near Stan and his 5 gal pails** I dont believe there is a dune fee, but maybe a camping fee.
