trickedcarbine Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 What are you falling plugs at, and what are you setting the pick up at. This will ensure crisp fire. Granted everything works properly. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 Ok so 4th position? Its at 3rd now.Ya, fourth down. Quote
ETR174 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Report Posted August 27, 2014 What are falling plugs and pick up? Quote
sheerider11 Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 I think gapping was the word. And your pick up coil to flywheel measurement. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 Yes gapping*. Stupid smart phone... Quote
ETR174 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Report Posted August 27, 2014 Lol I was going to suggest that, .020' Quote
ETR174 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Report Posted August 27, 2014 I won't be able to drop the clip until tomorrow. I'm bowling tonight. I will let you know in the morning how it acts to it. I think that these Shindy needles 1/4 of an inch longer or so than stock. Quote

ETR174 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Report Posted August 27, 2014 Longer needles can make you run lean.Yeah that's what I was trying to say. Would it running lean there make it hesitate getting into the high RPM's? Quote
sprinklerman Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 Yeah that's what I was trying to say. Would it running lean there make it hesitate getting into the high RPM's?Very possible. I'm not a fan of any of the aftermarket needles available for stock csrbs. They are all quite a bit longer than stock ones. ...even at their richest setting, they are longer than stock needles at their leanest setting. Quote

Ok well I will try richening the needle. I was just desperate so I got those. Guess I should get some stocker needles soon. Also I just want to make sure my main is ok. I've done plenty of idle to WOT revvs and there are no problems except that needle. Main is currently a 280. Quote
ETR174 Posted August 28, 2014 Author Report Posted August 28, 2014 I found my good stock needle so I will compare them tomorrow. Quote
ETR174 Posted August 28, 2014 Author Report Posted August 28, 2014 They are actually the same length. The Shindy needle is on the right, stock is the left. I will try 4th position to see if I feel a difference. Quote
sprinklerman Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 Are you sure those are OEM banshee needles? It's been a long time since I've looked at any, but I remember them being more blunt than that. Quote
