Bent shift fork, time to make her bigger got some questions

Recommended Posts

So I bent a shift fork.. and wanna make her faster when we tear it down... it's a longrod stock stroke 370 dune ported on alky now... If I go to a 4 mill or 7 mill maybe even 10mill can I use those jugs or do I have to start over with a stock set?? I do have a stock virgin set that just needs a bore. Is it even worth building a big stock cylinder motor anymore? What about the athena cylinders? Anybody got anything good to say about those? Have a billet badket, lockout, override, would anything else need to be beefed up to handle the power? I have 38mm alky carbs, big bore cpis, I'd like to still use the same carbs/pipes possibly, let me know thanks

4mm would be easiest if the porting and cylinders are salvageable.

Nay on the Athena's. For the money you would be ahead messing with cp stuff. Used cubs are everywhere. You could even find a stock stroke cub, but I get that you may just want more then that since it's apart.
