Dowell pin on crank

I split the cases and found the bearing on the stator side cracked and the had been put into the hole in the cases this is my first rebuild the pin was pulled out of the crank bearing I'm guessing that's what caused the cracked bearing does it go in there or sit like the two in the middle bearing

Big red 350x the walk through is great. I just can't see on the picture of the dowels if the one on the stator side is in the same position as the two in the middle, or does it go in the bottom case?

There should be a divot in one of the case halves at the seem where it matches to the other case half. That's where the dowel pin goes. If your bearing doesn't have a pin, that's fine, it'll be ok

If you don't have dowels on your bearings, you can put a dab of LOCTITE on them to keep the outer race from trying to spin.
