I'm asking cause I need advice on a good starting point for me.

535 cheetah drag ported

Race is 400'

+12 swingarm

Tires are going to be 81 ro 14 paddle extreams

I only weight 140lbs. Ready to race

12over arm with +4 chassis.

76ro 14p stg exremes

300' sand track

I weigh 185lbs

Currently running 16/44. i do think 15/44 or 15/43 might be a bit better for my setup.

And i also agree with this. No matter how big you think your motor is, reality is, its not. 17/41 is a ton of gear with those big tires imo, Even if you are a light weight.

Ok this is why I ask, cause reality is, I don't know, and don't want to buy 10 different sprockets.

Guys who have been there and done it already know best!

And if your going to be fast at the track ...always bring a hand full of sprocket

This. I've got two of every sprocket from

40-44 in my trailer.

 

There's no one set gearing for every track and condition you'll encounter.

 

If you're not willing to buy every size and test and tune with them you aren't going to get very far in the drag world.
