slimguy379 Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 So I just got my banshee running, but everytime I let out the clutch it dies. I took apart the clutch side of the motor and noticed that a fiber plate had come out of the basket and jammed everything up. Its adjusted correctly. I'm just lost as to why the plate keeps coming out. I just ordered a new clutch, lock nut washer, a new spindle, and a new gasket. But I'm just curious what might be the issue. Quote
uman1030 Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 Shot in the dark here, pressure plate not seated correctly with arrows lined up? So there is a gap allowing the last plate to come out? Quote

slimguy379 Posted March 30, 2014 Author Report Posted March 30, 2014 What about the transmission tube? Seems there's play inthe clutch basket towards and away from the case maybe like an 1/8" of play.did iI forget something in the case? Quote
slimguy379 Posted March 30, 2014 Author Report Posted March 30, 2014 Are the washers the same thickness before and after the basket? Maybe they are mixed up? Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 maybe the thrust washer that is like 1/8" thick? Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 They're the same, as long as you installed 2. Quote
uman1030 Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 If the pressure plate is lined up, seated all the way and the bolts inside the clutch springs on the pressure plate are tight. I don't really see how a fiber could come out. Quote
slimguy379 Posted March 30, 2014 Author Report Posted March 30, 2014 Alright when my parts come in I'll start with square 1 andjust start at "19" and go from there thanks boys Quote
