JCSO605 Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 I have found some dm cylinders ported by A&S for a good price. My question is about the holes drilled into the intake neck. Are these for nitrous? And can they be plugged and how? Thanks Quote
locogato11283 Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 Yes, you can just plug them. Quote
fappy'97 Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 Fuel pump, I'd say. Yes, you can plug them, with a plug. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 That will be a friggin monster when you get it going. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Dear god, wear a diaper first trip. Dan makes these things fly. Especially if folks got monies for the big stuff. Quote
JCSO605 Posted February 7, 2014 Author Report Posted February 7, 2014 Lol well I'm buying one piece at a time Quote
m671054 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Be sure to find out what rod, piston, and gasket combo they were running if you can. piecing one together gets confusing. it is not like building a 4mill Quote
JCSO605 Posted February 7, 2014 Author Report Posted February 7, 2014 Ok thanks for the advice. Most likely I will go with a builder to put it together. I've seen these built on stock cases but idk if that's the route I should go Quote
m671054 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Be aware that you can get billet cases with non std deck heights. getting as much build info as possible when buying used ported cylinders is nice. its not always the case but there are some very non std builds out there in the larger engines. JCSO605 Posted February 7, 2014 Author Report Posted February 7, 2014 Ok thanks for the info. Will a builder be able to determine that if I cannot? Quote
m671054 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Yeah they will. it would just be helpfull to know in case a good crank comes up for sale and or cases. you getting cylinders or head and domes also? Quote
locogato11283 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 18DM belongs in billet cases. End of story. Quote
