Ideas For My Cylinder Head

hey guys i'm thinking about shaving the head or buying a whole new after market head, or getting smaller domes. what should i do? my shee is stock in that area and i need some ideas can ya help me out?

if you're going for price....i'd mill your head about 30 thou....

 

if you're going for performance, spend about $200 or so and buy a NOSS head w/ variable domes...i say NOSS because if im not wrong BHQ members get discounts lol

yep shave that sucker first and if you like it (you will !!) get an aftermarket head id say trinityt but haven't seen the noss heads so i cannot say?? im not sure on thousanths but i usually whip off the entire lip this can make head gasket problems but it may not at all but you will notice a great deal more bottom end pull from increased comp..

If you shave the stock head, be sure to maintain adequate squish clearance. If much is taken off the stock head, it also needs to be rechambered. BansheeHQ members do get a 10% discount on anything from Noss Machine.

go with the Noss head, its real nice, cheaper than the trinity crap and will be at your door a hell of a lot sooner than a order into trinity.....

Noss Machine is the way to go for raising compression,more efficient cooling,and increasing looks of your shee.

After wasting the money to shave it, you know your just going to want to upgrade to a new head soon. Brake the piggy bank and do it once and do it right.

It depends on your elevation and the fuel you want to use. It sounds like you have stock porting and timing.

i was wondering what size domes i should get

i thinking of ordering one too

I ride glamis,fmf pipes,jet kit and k&n filter

premium pump gas

sometimes mixed 50-50 with 110 sunnoco fuel

I usually recommend 21cc for premium pump gas there. Some people run 20cc domes but you could have detonation problems. I try to stay on the safe side.

96 shee....you can shave your stock head down and reshape your domes....alot cheaper and I could give you the name of a great performance shop that does this. also they make total seal rings...supposed to bump the compression up like 20psi

hey 96 shee, or BGHSCANDYMAN if one of you order a head, would yall be willing to order smaller domes and trade with me? ive got a set of 19cc domes from a pro design head, if im not mistaken they are the same and will cross match.. on stock porting with 19's you will need to either mix pump gas with race fuel or run just race fuel depending on your elevation. im needing to get either some 17's or 16's.
