Lower engine stay....who's running them who's not? Opinions

On higher powered drag/dune bikes with modded frames (lightened oem) who's eliminated the lower engine stay (two links under motor) and who's running them and results of each setup.

Thanks in advance for the info

On a drag bike I'd definitely run them. Don't want that motor twisting. With them and the "washers" between the motor mounts it'll keep it tight with little to no movement.

That depends on the motor and how well you're putting the power down.

Our 18DMs were twisting in the frames under a load. That's why I designed the motor support.

I had problems big time without them. I broke a chain without them and had popping under a good load with rippers. If you have a hillshooter running 10 paddles you can get away with it but much more than that and you will be poppin the chain. I would run them.

For what they weight……why eliminate them? That's putting WAY too much interest in lightening a machine.
