dutchy954 Posted December 3, 2013 Report Share Posted December 3, 2013 So my buddies bike has 1st gear no problem, then shift up its neutral then 2nd is another neutral unless hes hammering on it, but if he lets off it pops back into neutral, then hammers again itll kick back in, 3rd gear is fine and 4th does similar reaction as 2nd and 5 and 6 are good. Some transmission issue not sure what exactly could be causing it. 2nd gear is almost like a snowmobile. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading. trickedcarbine Posted December 4, 2013 Report Share Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) I'm with windy. Time to tear in to the cases. Check the eccentric stuff behind the kicker to. Has the pancake bearing and modded star. feeling very confident it is not the clutch or gears. doesnt seem like the normal bent shift shaft either. guess there is only one way to find out. Especially with a stock tranny in a 10mil...........you can only push something so hard once its been pushed beyond what it was engineered for. Its either you have to build it RIGHT and look at things like the transmission, or you need to take it real easy on things that were never modified for the huge amounts of extra power your bike now makes.
