I'm at the dunes right now (sea level), I just got a new top end with hjr porting and milled head, chariot reeds, fmf fattys and +4 timing. Before the port I had on my 28 pwk's 150 mains with 48 pilots and 2 turns on air screw. I'm at sea level now with 155 mains and 50 pilots after the port and it's bogging on bottom end what should I adjust?

28pwk dont take the same needles so pretty sure there is no cel needle. I have n68a on 2nd clip from top and 48 pilot. What needle have you got most come wit jjh

What's your air screw set at? On my old hjr dune port setup I had to really run it rich on the bottom with 35pwks. Had like a 55 pilot , CCL needle bottom clip .5 air screw. I think it was a dome issue. Shouldn't of had to run it like that to make it not bog out and die from a slow speed to pegging the throttle

Yes they are 28 pwk. Two turns out on air screws and n68 needles on middle clip. 50 pilot and 155 main as of right now. I'm at gordons well and I only have 48 pilots and 150 mains as extra jets

Your pilot circuit is lean.

Turn your airscrews in until the throttle is snappy.

Take it for a ride and see if that helps.

If not, then lower the clip one groove to raise the needle to fatten the tune.

It's probably colder than a witches titty in a brass bra down there now, that's why your bike wants more fuel...

more then likely if your bogging on bottom end end your gonna have to turn the air screw all the way in and then go out .5 turns. i would drop the needle clip all the way to the bottom also ( that way the needle is sitting up higher when inside the carb and making it more rich) see how that works. if its still not working you might have to check the squish

Thanks, the stock head was just milled my hjr. I moved the clip down one and I'm at .5 on air screws and it got a little better. Still not right though. Btw it's about 90 degrees here

Ok, can you get to a bike shop?

Can you call Kevin?

He might be at the shop.

I'd make it a priority to buy a pair of 52, 55 pilots, 158 and 160 mains.

Cascade has pretty decent prices on genuine Keihin Jets.
