RagunCajun
So in other words someone else may do better work than someone else. Nothing wrong with that. I bought lots from FAST but hes never done my port work. Im ok with that.
Coupelx
I like brandon at wildcard because he and i share alot of ideas. I like his style and how his stuff runs. I was not disappointed. I did alot of research and talking to people before i chose. Knowledge is key.
WINDYCITYJOHN400
No....I threw the book at my cheetah motors. They were the first of the CP cylinders. Calvin told me himself that they were an "obsolete design". The few members who have impressive cheetahs(CAMATV and a few others)....also have 350's that beat drag bikes. I still don't see dyno numbers for any of those bikes. If we did....smaller cubs could match the bigger cc cheetah numbers. So in my opinion, it's clearly rider and set-up working for them as opposed to motor.
10milmike
I have cheetah. Its been throw 3 builders. The first was Trinity and it was a shit bomb. The second I will not say. But the bike ran good no problem. Then I took it to shearer, he throw it on his dyno and it was a dog for 10 mil. 97 HP 47 tq. I sucked in a reed screw two weeks later fucking up the motor. So told mat to rebuild my motor. On Gas. It made 114 HP and 64 tq. That's huge difference in numbers. Just pick the right builder and u will be happy. Putting my 41mm alky carbs on this week. Motor should be in the 120 range now. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 I agree with this.^^^ Pick a builder who is familiar with Cheetahs & PV's if you plan on keeping them and you'll be happy. I also understand what people have said about the power- to- CC ratio of a Cheetah vs std Cub cyls. An alky 10mm/535 Cheetah should make 120HP on Alky,,,but 10mm Cubs on alky get real close to that as well. For sure within 5 HP. So a lot of it depends what you are planning to do with the motor. I wouldn't get into chasing numbers (like the example i used, 5hp) unless its a full on , nothing but, drag bike. As far as PV vs non PV in a drag race, i'll leave that up to those who have experience in using both.

(And a few other member's 10mill cubs) Not saying those numbers aren't impressive.... Not bashing the motor or builder. But I still haven't seen a P.V. Cheetah out perform a similar sized Cub. And Cheetahs with crank strokes smaller than 10 mill show even lower CC/HP/TORQUE ratios.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 ^^^^And THAT is what matters the most IMO. If a setup runs good out in the race scene you are competing in,that's what matters the most. Surely don't want to live and die by dyno #'s.
WINDYCITYJOHN400
^^^^I agree. But remember, he also thought it ran great when it was only making 97/47. The DYNO showed him what a good running motor really was. I'm sure he's very happy with the 114/64. A motor that makes 97/47 is no slouch. But if your motor is a 10 mill 535....I can guaranty it was built with bigger numbers in mind since an unported 421 cub can hit that. I've only recently accepted the fact that my new motor will be 10 mil so I'm really looking at what cubs can do in the right hands. I have been looking at 10 cubs that throw out the exact same type of curve as a serval but carry up in to the RPM's for another 20 HP. locogato11283
If you're going to build a 10 Cub, why not go 10DM? There is a very noticeable power difference between the two.

No offense but comparing different dyno numbers from different dynos, locations, DA and possibly different correction factor is pretty moot. I think a trap speed or some sort of track results should be a good way to compare. Racing dynos is pointless. Id LOVE to have a setup that puts out shit power SAE corrected but fucks shit up on the track or street where it matters.
