I see a guy has a bunch of 30mm OKO, for like $150 a set shipped, in the 4-sale section. I was going to either get some PWK 28,33,34 mm etc for my 4mil dune port. Are these worth even messing with? I hear people say they run out of fuel on WOT but im sure that's just a float adjustment.

Ive never run OKO's but from what ive heard/ read seems a decent amount of people have had good luck with em.

I have had two sets of OKO carbs and had nothing but trouble with them, I couldn't get them to flow fuel efficiently and also they were a pain to tune. It could be that I had a used set that someone probably destroyed prior to me buying them.

known issues are the chrome plating on the throttle slider and also hard to get the jets (maybe a uk thing?)

to be honest i have always liked my mikuni's easy to tune and just do the job but i guess a lot has to do with what your familiar with for instance i could not get on with dellorto's at all hated them

So what bad experience you have since you think they are junk. Post multiple reasons to back up your post. Explain yourself so we can learn.

they have terrible casting flaws, they are cheap for a reason.

when i had mine, i de burred them and drilled the main fuel port, and still could get it to run right, i took the bike to the dyno, he said "ha hah ha those carbs are junk"  but he couldnt do anything (i thought he was just shit anyway) spoke to hjr about them as he did the port work on my bike back then. and he said they are pretty average carbs and people have problems with them.

they are way hit n miss.

you can get pwks for like 330/350 a set and mikunis for cheaper i think..

If u have the cash get the pwks. Okos are hit and miss. Some of my friends hated them and nvr could get em right. I ran some on my 4 mil and nvr once had a problem. But if ur just really tight on cash they do well for the money. But just like with anything else in this world u get what u pay for!

In any case, buy the better product so you ensure a better chance of it working right. Just save longer.
