Timing adjust question

Hi, i have a 7mm cub, I run trail and some street, and i think my timing is too high, i have +7, i want to know the bike will work better with +4 or +5 ? Because my bike don't run great at high rev or low rev depending how i jet ( pwk 33mm, 45pilot, 172main ) 160psi( the engine is new ), thank and sorry for the bad english

Well what is huge rest of the set up? There could be some other variables. A lot of gas cubs out there loving 7 degrees of timing.

My pump gas, stock cyl. 4mil LOVES +7, it seems to rev out quicker @+7 than @ +4... I'm running my squish band clearance at .050"  which keeps the compression in check so I can run pump gas and +7... Just be careful to listen for deto under a big load.. if no deto occurs you're good...

Big difference in the way a cub responds to timing then a stock cylinder set up though.
