Scrubtherubber Posted May 26, 2013 Report Posted May 26, 2013 went with a 2 in 1 and have to adjust needle and pilots every other weekend due to new england weather... seems like a common problem with the single carb setup, anyways found a good deal on a set of 34 pj's. im sure someone on here knows if there a good setup for me. I have no porting, fmf pipes (i know not a hq favorite), plus 4 timing, and thats its, dont know if I should grab these or look for something smaller Quote
camatv Posted May 26, 2013 Report Posted May 26, 2013 go back to stock. OR lectron 30-32mm those carbs handle temps changes much better Quote
Jereme6655 Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 yup....stock carbs are actually pretty good for what they are. they will handle roughly 70hp and will keep you having some power down low where as the larger carbs will create a loss of low end power. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Ahh, I knew you would come around Quote
Scrubtherubber Posted June 5, 2013 Author Report Posted June 5, 2013 Ahh, I knew you would come around Yeah you told me so Quote
trickedcarbine Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 It just takes a little time behind the wrenches on it to get comfortable. In the end it will make you much happier. Quote
MarineNYC Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 That was the best move I ever did After getting ported. I went from single carb to the dual 33 pwk. Made a Enormous difference. Then I sold it. Because I'm an idiot. Quote
Scrubtherubber Posted June 6, 2013 Author Report Posted June 6, 2013 yeah I dont really have the time to mess with tuning, or an area to do it so getting the new carbs and installing them, and giving it to a respected local builder to tune for me. Im sure ill be happy with it Quote
04_blu_shee Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 33 PWK's are what I run also on a mild Ported motor Quote
bluebanshee98 Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 About time u have 2 carbs! Haha good move dude Quote
