tdod101 Posted April 5, 2013 Report Posted April 5, 2013 So the left pipe doesn't get nearly as hot as the right and barely smokes. Also lacks power. Crank or piston ? Quote
tdod101 Posted April 5, 2013 Author Report Posted April 5, 2013 compression test, ohm test plug boots, stator, inspect reeds, change plugs, check ground, clean carbs. Heres a small list of things you can start with All of that has been done already. Everything checks out Quote
rjdgriff Posted April 5, 2013 Report Posted April 5, 2013 Try swapping carb caps/slides... Put the right on the left and the left on the right, they might be backwards Quote
BigRed350x Posted April 6, 2013 Report Posted April 6, 2013 Throw it in the trash, 2-strokes are way too complicated. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted April 6, 2013 Report Posted April 6, 2013 have you tried syncing the carbs? adjust your idle? ive had it before when first firing the bike where it would drop the left cylinder at idle because I didn't have the idle high enough on that side. The sync tool that Jeff at FAST racing sells pretty much takes the cake for being one of the greatest tuning tools... Quote

Pastrykiller Posted April 6, 2013 Report Posted April 6, 2013 To OP, what have you tried so far. All we know is that one pipe doesn't heat up. That tells us nothing more than it just don't run right. Quote

I've cleaned carbs, replaced all jetting one size over stock new plugs tested all electrical changed reed gaskets put new carb boots on took off the pipes to make sure they were clear of oil or crud, all that seems fine Quote
