bansheeboy01 Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 hey biiiss I have a set of fmf pipes that are about 10 years old and they are a little rusty and dirty what is the best way to polish them up like new again they are not to bad they just need a little bit of the right elbow grease... also how do you clean the carbon and oil build up in the pipes. thanks Quote
slobanshee Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 0000 steel wool and wd40 worked for me.. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 High speed drill, black emery cake, brown tripoli, white tripoli, red rouge or green compound. Just make sure to use different wheels with each. I'm over the elbow grease. Raw steel! Quote
jbooker82 Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 If your going to refinish the pipes I would decoak them first. You can do it a couple ways. Heat the pipes up with a torch or burn the carbon out. Quote
dajogejr Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 I saw the topic and thought LittleSteven was going to offer his expertise on pipe cleaning...then I read the thread.... Quote
