diy leak down tester

whats up everyone? i need to do a leakdown test on my shee, and dont want to foot the 200 dollar tag on a tester. does any one have diy plans/ parts list on a leakdown tester. thanks

It takes 10 minutes to build. You can buy the Jerry caps and plugs from home d or lowes.

Then get the stainless steel valve stem from any auto parts store. Don't mess around with the tire guage. Just get a small fuel pressure guage and your set. All parts cost no more than 20 bucks.

There will always be the idiot who uses his air compressor to pressurize the cases with it set at 90psi.

Yeah. I just use one of the tire nozzles with the squeeze grip. You can be nice and easy.

That's exactly what mine looks like except I used PVC end caps with the flanges. Identical to those but in plastic. Works like a dream every time

Just roll the flange across a grinder to remove it.
