Leadfoot350 Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 who did the port and how much comp and can you post a pic of the dyno? Quote
bansheeman95 Posted October 19, 2003 Author Report Posted October 19, 2003 sandtrax in tulsa,OK did the porting, i cant post the dyno yet(no scanner) its about 225 compression with the 17cc domes(111 octane) Quote
bignasty1 Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 i heard that if your runnin compression that high you may actually be hurting performance because it doesnt let the engine rev properly or sumthin like that. and i sure hope your crank is welded Quote
Dragg-on Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 ya banshee man, your hp sounds all good, but i would let off the compression to like 20cc domes, id hate to hear that you crank died early. Quote
bansheeman95 Posted October 20, 2003 Author Report Posted October 20, 2003 my crank is fine guys and i would never do those kinds of mods without welding it, come on now!!! LOL the A/F ratio is perfect as well, but thanks for your concern bros. later BM95 Quote
bignasty1 Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 thats cool but i figured with comp that high that you may actually loose some power i figured your crank was welded just double checkin cuz i was curious and your numbers sound good. have fun rippin shit up out there on your shee. BakoBanshee Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 i was just thinking, aren't the Vito's power pistons supposed to perform better than the SS's in ported cylinders? Quote
H300F Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 How do the CPI's work with the mx port? Do you have decent low end? Just wondering, but what made you go with CPIs when you ported for mx, whynot something like a PT mid? later Quote
bansheeman95 Posted October 21, 2003 Author Report Posted October 21, 2003 the cpi`s work great with the porting, I had T5`s before and they felt like they were holding me back on the top end, when i switched to cpis, it felt like i gained another 5 hp!!! ill try to get a scanner so i can post the dyno sheet, it was nice and smooth across the rpms, and had a decent low end too. i dont know about the vitos power pistons performing better than my super stocks, but the engine builder said for my combo the ss`s would be the better choice, and it definitly was!!!
