Painted them this morning at work. the were prepped  by sanding plastic down with 80 then 180 on a DA sander, primed withhigh build 2K primer, then 400 wet sand followed by 800grit. The paint is from a Lexus, and is DuPont Chromabase, with the cheap Nason DuPont clear. The plastics had cracks that I repaired using  a grinder and fiberglass reinforced filler.  Now all my son has to do is get his grades up to get some ride time in!  -Erik

Man thats a neat color. Cant wait to see what it looks like when the sun hits it.

thanks fellas, I am using aircraft stripper  on frame ,forks, etc.. the previous owner did a botch job painting it so its going black and I will be doing red accents. like grips, maybe the wheels, etc.. If anyone by any chance has a front plastic for a "zinger" let me know.

 Finished assembling bike for my son, he went crazy, he loved it!!  We followed it up by a Sunday Funday Riding !!!

 

Guess he got the grades up, looks good.
