Surfrjag Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 I am wondering if there would be any problems with running stock cylinders at 66.5. i know the sleeve gets pretty thin. Quote

Nightmare Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 I thought I remember hearing overheating becomes an issueIt does, I couldn't keep mine cool if the temp went over 90 degrees outside. Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 I'm running 66.75 in mine for the last 3 years making 65 hp and I'm fine. But I won't get more than a light hone on them at this point. So I'm asking myself the classic "What next" question. Quote
SlowerThanYou Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 Why not get them plated? Quote
trickedcarbine Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 Yes, nicasil if they are ported nicely. Quote
Paulie B Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 I ran my ported stockers at 66 for 2 years. They were still at 155 psi when I retired them and the pistons looked fine. I also had an oversize rad and aftermarket impeller though. Quote
