Bleeding Back Brakes

 I have to bleed the brakes in the back on my banshee, i know the process of doing it. Im just wondering if i have to get the old fluid out beceause i have some still above the mark. If i do have to get the old fluid out which is the best way? Thanks

So i just crack the bleeder valve and keep pumping the brakes till nothing comes out anymore? And when i go to fill it do i put the fluid in and leave the bleeder open and wait till fluid starts coming out the valve then i can begin the bleed process?

Don't let the reservoir go dry keep it full and barley crack the bleeder, if u have a friend to help u would be better that way u can pump pump and hold the peddle down while he cracks it and closes it to reales air. You can always make a investment in a mighty vac brake bleeder best 40 bucks to spend here is a item # off eBay 190655379187..... Good luck

Don't let the reservoir go dry keep it full and barley crack the bleeder, if u have a friend to help u would be better that way u can pump pump and hold the peddle down while he cracks it and closes it to reales air. just pull the line off the caliper and pump it. Or pull the hose off the resi.

Yea pull the hose off at the master and remove resi, drain & clean, reinstall. Fill it up w/ fresh fluid then bleed all the old fluid out,(making shure not to run resi dry). You should be able to tell when new fluid starts coming out, it will change colors.Hope this helps.

Just remember to drain the hose before it totally fills up with fluid.

Yea right, if I ask one of my friends to get down there and suck on my hose til the fluid came out they would say FU.

I'm spending forty bucks.

I use a Mityvac and it works quite well.

 

If you get down there and suck on that hose, be prepared for some nasty tasting shit when you get brake fluid in your mouth.
