Anthony133 Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 I have a really ugly, gay, sagging set of purple plactics that i want to fully race cut and have painted/ airbrushed or whatever will last. Ive never cut fenders so how do i do it? I was going to measure and mark dots to kinda guide myself so both sides are equal but my main questions is what do i cut them with? What is the easiest, fasted and best way to do this? I have razor blades and stanly knifes, will those work? Quote
vulvafan537240 Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 tape them off and mark em and use a jigsaw, hot knife, cutoff wheel etc Quote
possum Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 use tape to mask off the lines then get a cutoff wheel and u can get a perfect straight line easier. jigsaw is second best. but cant really get in tight if u need to. Quote

Hibnecker1 Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 i used a sawsall to get them trimmed down then a sanding drum on a drill to smooth them out and finished with a buffing wheel... looked good till i got new plastics Quote

lms1977 Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 I used a sawzal and then sanded them smooth and shaped them Quote
wfobasheeboy Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 tape them off and mark em and use a jigsaw, hot knife, cutoff wheel etc X2^^^ I taped them and used a box cuter with a new blade for each fender. Then sanded with scotch-brite pad. Quote
fappy'97 Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 I've always used just a utility knife, and then sand down until the angle and finish is how you want. After that I always take a heatgun or torch to make it glossy... Quote
