What do those of you who cut the tread on your tires use to cut them? I was thinking of buying a set to cut everyother row, but didn't know what tool to use to cut them off.

that shit sucks. use a hotknife or something. I asked about this a while ago and some guy said he used a hoof trimmer. ( i dont know what the hell that is) but i found it easier to inflate my tires a lot.

Sawzall with a course wood blade. I go back with a box knife and trim shit up afterwards.

Thanks for the info! Sawzall sound good. A hoof trimmer is used for trimming horse hooves to put shoes on them.

i would use a router and i believe they make a tool that burns the rubber off

i used a electric knife since i didnt have a sawzall at the time.

i used a mapgas torch and a putty knife heat up the putty knife with torch then slide it across the tire cuts like paper.

My boy said he used a battery and wire to cut blocks of tread off his. IDK though it sounded sketchy to me.
