it is shiny?

if not, the oil has never been changed. meaning that engine has never been taking care of.

If its gray because its never been changed....:bolt:

If its gray and has "curdled" like a bad dairy product or has lots of varnish or sludge then you have a very abused banshee.

What kind of oil should i use to change it and how much does the bike take?

I got it from a mechanic and the engine has like 50 hours on it the clutch was replaced too.

Its been a while since I've dealt with stock banshee motors but I believe 1500ml for a factory clutch cover. Gear oil is common, I just use a 30w synthetic MC oil designed for gears and wet clutches. A little thinner than gear oil but lasts longer than ATF. I'd run it for a tank and change it again to see what you come up with. If the bike is new to you, I'd do a complete inspection and tune up also.

cm is not a measurement of liquid volume in your situation. most likely it says cm3 if you look again. which only means cubic centimeters or cc. 1 cc is 1 milliliter. you should be able to figure it out from there

I just looked again it says 1500 cm3. I am not good with measurements so when I goto the store in the morning i need to know what to buy and how much to put in. This is my first 2-stroke. I don't want to under or over fill it. So do you know how many quarts 1500 cm3 is?

Also its bored .020 over if that helps.

I was doing some inspecting today and I found electric tape around a piece of the axle. What is this about? I cannot upload my pic it says its too big of a file. Its on the left side and covers what appears to be 2 nuts to secure the axle right next to the sprocket. Why would he tape that off and how worried should I be?
