not unless the gap is way to big.. i usually do around .020

likely you have other issues but doesnt hurt to check the plugs.

this may be a really dumb question but if i dont gap my plugs can that make my quad miss out at high rpms?

 

Theoretically yes because the spark will have a longer travel between the electrode. But the gap would have to be WAY off. So just gap it at .020-.028

 

If your Shee is missing at high RPM you might want to check out the carbs/jets
