Wisconsinz Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 (edited) Alright guys here's the deal, I bought an 89 J-Frame in December 2011. Put about $2000 into it including: SST silencers and pipes, carrier, rear axle, paddles, handle bars, tons of bling, upper J-Arms, chain, both sprockets, clutch cover, ect. Insurance totalled it when the chain came off and cracked the case. They are offering me $2600-$500 deductible for a total of $2100 or I get $1500 cash and my Banshee back. What to do? If I buy it back for $600 I have Wildcard lined up for the rebuild. Edited April 3, 2012 by Wisconsinz Quote
ClayAiken Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 1500 and Banshee back. If its just a cracked case its not worth junking the whole bike. Quote
steady Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 swapping the cases is cheap and easy... Quote
mhoksch Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Tell the insurance you want it back, then sell it to me for $700 and make some extra $$ Quote
pumarat Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Buy it back and do it again. They most be fools Quote
So Cal Suspension Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Was the claim really worth your rates going up for the next 10 years? Quote
rjdgriff Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Was the claim really worth your rates going up for the next 10 years? When you can get full coverage insurance for like $12 a month, a 10% increase in insurance really isn't shit lol... Quote

Unless you're like the rest of the world, and have a multi policy. A 10% increase for me would mean almost another $95 a month. Quote
