barranquilla Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 How can i tell the difference between cpi out of frame small bore pipes and cpi out of frame big bore pipes?? Quote
ktKid Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 What size is your motor? I'd do a SB pipe all the way to the a 10mill. I've lost power on a Dyno from going to big bores. Quote
jbooker82 Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 I thought by the diameter of the stinger tubes. I would only use out of frame pipes on a purpose built drag racer that sees a groomed track. Out of frame pipes weigh a little more and dont mount as solid as an inframe pipe. There is a lot of weight mounted way from your banshee and rough terrain can tear them up. Quote
Phelps Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 Pretty sure the guy didn't ask for anyone opinion.... the diameter of the pipe is the difference. I can measure my bi's when I get home if you need to know. Quote
BigRed350x Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 How can i tell the difference between cpi out of frame small bore pipes and cpi out of frame big bore pipes?? On most pipes its the diameter of the stinger. I know a couple companies change the shape, length and diameter of the expansion tube as well as the stinger. Quote
