RadarRacing Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) My 15 yr old daughter shot this 5 x 5 mule deer still in velvet this weekend in western Ks. Her hutning guide (me) made her mad by having her pass on about 10 other bucks but she forgave me when we saw this guy feeding in a weedy CRP field and she made a perfect 150 yard shot with her 7mm-08. JustPlainJane Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Very nice ! Man that thing carries his mass all the way thru his main beams. That's a nice deer for sure. Have u scored him yet? Quote
06specialedition Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Hell yeah, Good find Quote
prssantana Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Nice. I wish you had the option to pass up bucks where I'm at. You see one in our hunting area you either shoot it or spend the rest of the season wishing you did. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Awesome Father you are !! Congrats to your daughter too !! Nice animal she bagged. Quote
RadarRacing Posted September 12, 2011 Author Report Posted September 12, 2011 We had a good time. She's been hunting with me for years. We hunted hard for 2 days and slept in a canyon next to a creek. If you can hold out on the small bucks and shoot does for meat your bucks will get bigger in just a couple years. Lol. Quote
Duneman101 Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Nice man, i really like the state prison orange too! Has she talked you into hanging it on the wall for her? Quote
RadarRacing Posted September 12, 2011 Author Report Posted September 12, 2011 Yeah that shirt is funny. We'll prolly mount it for her, hopefully my guy can keep the velvet on. I've got 2 on the wall but they're not as big, she outdid me for sure. I'll be out hunting in a cpl weeks when the muzzleloader season opens and see if I can score. Quote
