woodsracer56 Posted July 25, 2011 Author Report Posted July 25, 2011 with your gearing and tires, you will need to hit 9600rpm to get to 100mph. it might be possible, but you will need a lot of room to do that. but you cant build a trail friendly banshee with low end power and still hit 100mph. and how would i do that?? I know what your talking about when you say you have an open field where you and your buddies have pissing matches... think we all do... but unless they are rockin something serious you should handle them... build a 4mill, get it ported grab some 28mm pwk (personaly I'm for them), pipes run your gearing closer to 14 so you can still hit the woods and they won't stand a chance... now if you want more build a 421 serval or something... when you guys are racing each other... if you take off and are 12 bike lengths ahead how long do they really keep trying lol you don't need 100 out there Quote

vifferman Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 I wouldn't want to do 100 MPH on a Banshee anywhere but the salt flats wearing full leathers etc, and even then I'd probably lift early. The guys who do high speeds in their drag Banshees have extended frames and wheelie bars. Looks like you need two Banshees, one to go fast and another to be quick. Quote

volcrano Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 sheerider,i fucking love my dmcs.i had t5s and they pull but those dmcs feel like they just pull and dont stop.like if u stay on the throttle running out gears it steadily keeps pushing u back from the bars.the powerband is much smoother than the t5s also.they come on so smooth,but still throw u in the air.for what i ride i love em.i also like the mounting,sealing and overall quality.i got this set from 2twin350s which started the little ballott to get dmc to make them again.he still had a set left from like 2 years ago and had them new in box on ebay.he works 5 mins from me so it all just worked seamlessly.got em for $380.in person brand spankin.it was part of the original run so the chrome doesnt peel,but it was dull.i polished my dick off with the buffer and they bling now.what he told me was because of that original run,some people didnt like the dullness of the finish they called dmc and bitched.dmc switched their chromer and it was show chrome,but fell off almost instantly.he is a dealer for them and has heard they found another chromer again and it is all good.but then he also said he talked to one of the guys at dmc and they dont go to shows anymore and this and that and said he saw the company possibly going out of business.glad i got mine lol.if uve been thinking about them,i love em on my ported 4 mil.and dude,sound is incredible when ur on the pipe.maybe this weekend ill get a vid of a run thru the gears,it sounds soo cool lol. You need to build a bike that dominates both worlds i have changed my gearing to 15/42. rips hard and i can hit 6th gear easier. i tookl it on the trails this morning when i got off work and it was a beast. im gonna stay with that gearing, im picking up a new high output coil just because i want it to have a better spark, had a bidding war this morning on a set of +2 +1 A arms but let them go, figured id better get some riders opinions before i spend 2,500$ i need to update my signature lol Quote
