You can get the timing plate for a lot cheaper than 100. I would port it and do a 4 mill crank if the funds are available. That's my future plan.

A supermarket head would would be nice with or without a port job

just remember that you might loose some compression with porting

so choose the domes wisely.

1 get your crank welded and trued or buy one all ready welded. now is the time to think ahead, do you think you might want to go 4 mill? If you do this list will most likely come all at once.

2 cool head. Get domes to fit your needs. I don't think domes are all that pricey my self so if you port and need another set then so be it. sell your old ones, trade them off or keep for spares.

3 K&N in the box or pods depending on were and how you ride

4 Adjustable timing plate. You can get the cheaper cast ricky stator ones on e-bay for around 25 bucks. (Let the flaming begin)

5 port work for the kind of riding you do.

6 carbs ( go with what ever your builder recommends )

I like wildcard as a builder and parts suppler my self.

You can cut the stock timing plate and save some coin. Just need the special flywheel puller and then you can cut up to +5deg of timing. I only went with +4
