kolb02 Posted June 6, 2010 Author Report Posted June 6, 2010 Glad your getting to ride it finally. Looks like fun. 4.5s arent bad but definetly should run faster being drag ported, Light rider, and a downhill track! Our 421s have run low 4s w/300lb riders. Maybe on your track but not on this one! Dave and Rob's 12mils on meth only run low 4's. Our track is all sand no dirt mixed. When we where in st anthony last week my 4mil was king of the hill except for Dave and Rob's. Here is a vid of me and Dave racing on his 12mil. He ran a 4.35 and I ran a 4.51. I almost held him off. Quote
kolb02 Posted June 6, 2010 Author Report Posted June 6, 2010 Then your shaw is too soft.. I figured it was a dune bike.. thats why I said the chassis isn't setup right for 300' You'd be better off running struts. Ya, we might try a strut in the rear next time. And hopefully the next time we run the track won't be so wet. Quote
Heavymod Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 When I raced Brett, I didn't have the motor reved-up enough....so I bogged out of the gate and had to clutch it again. This track was very heavy with the massive down-pour we had the night before. Rob and me ran 4.1s with the 12mill alky Banshees and Rob pulled off a 4.0 run for the fasted time of the day. Jeff, you will have to bring that 4mill here...I bet you would be running mid 4s with our crappy air here. Our track is basically on flat ground with a rise about mid track...it needs to be leveled-out to be perfect. Quote

I got a question for my buddy's banshee he;s strutting the bike out but needs to know where to mount the strut . does he take out the linkage and mount the strut straight to the swingarm or mount the strut on place of the shock? Id mount it directly to the swingarm and remove the linkage. Quote
drag+6blaster Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Id mount it directly to the swingarm and remove the linkage. ok because we were wondering if the bike would just fall flat on the swingarm because of the angle of the strut without the linkage, will fab it up tonite and see what happens thanks . Titan up Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Here is a video of the the sand drags! The 4mil ran 4.51 all day in 6000ft of air and it poured rain all day and night before so the sand was very wet and heavy. What's your MPH look like? Quote
Heavymod Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Our lights don't have the computor program for mph yet. Quote
kolb02 Posted August 31, 2010 Author Report Posted August 31, 2010 Update! We had a another sand drag this last weekend and we put a strut in and it worked pretty well! I was having problems keeping the front end down at about 1/4 to 1/2 track. Ran 4.5's I might have ran faster but I couldn't get the time on some. What can I do to get faster with out running alky? What paddles for and all sand track? and I will run a wheelie bar next time. Quote
