Our lights don't have the computor program for mph yet.
-
When I raced Brett, I didn't have the motor reved-up enough....so I bogged out of the gate and had to clutch it again. This track was very heavy with the massive down-pour we had the night before. Rob and me ran 4.1s with the 12mill alky Banshees and Rob pulled off a 4.0 run for the fasted time of the day. Jeff, you will have to bring that 4mill here...I bet you would be running mid 4s with our crappy air here. Our track is basically on flat ground with a rise about mid track...it needs to be leveled-out to be perfect.

raptor rally memorial day weekend at st anthony
Heavymod replied to mercury65's topic in Riding and Events Forum
All the hot rod Raptors got 2-Stroked this weekend at St. Anthony...lol!!! There were a few Raptor guys that didn't like getting pounded by Brett's 4mill. Norm's 843 Raptor on nitrous was the closest race for Brett. -
I feel these billet forks would be a wise investment....after all, like myself, we have pretty good money tied-up in the override tranny. It's a no brainer!!

It is a 552 Cheetah 12 mill stroker on methanol and was ported by Lynn at LC Performance. Has 38mm Mikuni carbs bored to 40mm with alky conversion. Has the jet style power jet. Has a very wicked fast power band when launching. Had to remove the +12 swingarm and go to a +14 White Knuckle ladder style swingarm to keep the front from lifting so bad.

+12 Ladder Bar Style Swingarm - For Sale
Heavymod replied to Heavymod's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I think K&Q Fabrication built it. We bought it off Ebay and had the chrome stripped by Metal Master in Salt Lake and had it powdercoated in Billings by PowderKote Unlimited. If you go to YFZ Tech, it looks exactly like their work. -
I have a +12 chromoly ladder bar swingarm with caged needle bearings for sale. We had it on my son's 12mill alky Banshee for one trip to St. Anthony. Anyway, we had to go to a +14 swingarm to keep the front-end from lifting so bad. It is 1 inch tubing with 3/4 inch cross tubes and is powdercoated wet black. Asking $400 shipped or make me an offer. Sorry about the small pics, I will have to have my son post larger pics later.

Call Lynn at LC Performance...he can tell you the recommended changes to run nitrous.

When we started kolb02's 4mill with the 1-5 nuetral down override duneable extreme , it started making a grindy noise like it was trying to engage into gear in nuetral. Like he said we shut it off and started it again and the noise quit. After hearing about the problems, I told my customer that it would be wise to pull the tranny out and go with a regular duneable override or have this one checked out. We pulled the motor tonite to remove the tranny and we are steering toward a proven duneable override, instead of taking a chance on the extreme override.

We powdercoated my son's(686raptor) CPI drag pipes on his Banshee with the high temp black...holds-up just fine and looks good. We powdercoated his drag pipes for his 760 Raptor and they held up good to the 4-stroke exhaust temps.

Sounds like to me that 7 degrees timing might be a little too much timing...I would back it down to at least 5 degrees timing. Sounds like it is pre detonating at 7 degrees. We have had plugs starting to loosen up at 5 degrees with 110 octane race fuel. We usually run Sunoco or Turbo Blue.

Yeah...I want to go to Choke with our 12mills. We might take you up on that offer to haul our fuel...we will definitely need it!

Be there the next time we come to the dunes.....would like to ride with ya!!

They are both 12mill Cheetah motors on alky. The frame in the blue Banshee weighed at 34lbs when Lenny at Klein Racing got done lightning my stock frame.

We use Type F automatic transmission fluid in our alky Banshees. Works good and doesn't cost that much.

Thanks for the feedback!! And thumbs up for a quick follow through trade!! Have a good one from Heavy Mod Performance!!

Trade Marvin Shaw hillshooter rear shock for good stock Banshee shock
Heavymod replied to Heavymod's topic in Swap and Trade
I will take some pics and post them later of the hillshooter. -
I have a rear stock length rear Marvin Shaw coil-over shock that I had Yarnell Specialities convert and rebuild to a hillshooter rear shock. I have polished it and it has never been ran yet. I installed it on my Banshee and decided to try and find a good stock rear Banshee shock for the cushy ride. So, I will trade this Marvin Shaw hillshooter for a good premo rear stock Banshee shock. You can call me at 406-672-8420 or PM me, if you are interested in trading. Thanks, Dave

Don't need a gasket between the rubber boot and reed cage.
