jackball Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 I am still having problems with the banshee. This thing runs like it should, like a banshee, then when it warms up it cuts out on the top end. I have replaced the ignition coil and wires, stator (ricky stator), I have switched the CDI with a known good one, I have removed the TORS system, I have tried jetting and I have checked air intake system. I have never had one that I could not figure out like this. I am looking to get some help from someone who knows so please start with the ideas. Thank you for your help. Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 we need to know your jetting specs. what pilot and main sizes are you running? we also need to know the temperature, feet above sea level and mods. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 So the Ricky stator is still in there still? Quote
jackball Posted June 1, 2010 Author Report Posted June 1, 2010 So the Ricky stator is still in there still? Yes the stator is still in there. I have stock carbs and I will have to verify jet size and elevation specs I live in Kansas. It never did this with these jets before. I have been running them for a few years. Quote
banshee_terror_ Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 put in a another type of stator. the ricky stators have been known to mess up. Quote
FrankieSquid Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 put in a another type of stator. the ricky stators have been known to mess up. X2 I learned that from my last shee i had. Gave me headaches for days, threw a stock OEM back in and WAH LA Quote
jackball Posted June 2, 2010 Author Report Posted June 2, 2010 X2 I learned that from my last shee i had. Gave me headaches for days, threw a stock OEM back in and WAH LA Was it acting like what I described? I did aquire another OEM stator recently but I have not tried it yet. I think that it would be worth my time to give it a shot. The shee was acting up before the ricky and the ricky did not make a difference but I will go back with an OEM to verify. Does anyone have any thoughts on possible crank seal issue. Just a thought. Quote
