hey guys trying to figure out what ratio to run in the bike. the guy i got it from said he mixed 4 gallons of gas to a bottle of oil. the bottle said it was for 5 gallons of oil. so what do you guys think would be good. the jetting is pretty good with the mixture he was running. if i went 5 gallons would it lean it out to much?

The more oil you have the leaner you are,the less oil you have the richer you are.If you have more oil mixed with your fuel then there will be less fuel in your cylinder causing it to be leaner.

More oil is rich less is lean

NO it is NOT.If you have more oil in your cylinder then you have less room for fuel therefore it means you are leaner on your fuel mixture.More oil is lean,less oil is richer!

Dont you mean more fuel to AIR in the intake is rich.

And lean is having less fuel per volume of AIR.

 

 

So your saying 50:1 is richer then 32:1??

Yes,because there would be more fuel molecules in the mixture at 50:1 then 32:1.You would have more oil and less fuel at 32:1

The misconception is that more oil is rich and less is lean.

I ,thought you where confusing oil with air, but you are absolutely wright .

Yea,i think ALOT of people get that confused also.
