im looking for a shock for my drag banshee. i need one about 8.5" long. does anyone know where i can get one. has anyone every herad of useeing a yamaha r-1 rear shock.

You need a +6 swinger with 22 inch turf tamers and have you swinger sit let. I will help you set it up. pm what you have for swinger

if your looking to keep it fully suspended, yes you can use a r1 rear shock and 300ex fronts. that will keep the bike fully suspended and lower it down at the same time.

 

the r1 shock youll just have to drill one of the bushings out to fit the bolt through it and it will be done.

only thing you have to watch with the r1 shock is, if you are heaver or run a long swing arm the shock is valves alittle on the soft side...
