RagunCajun Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 I dont understand what difference it makes in who cut the trans. Anyways, after splitting my cases for some maintenance put my forks in the wrong spot. It would not go into naturalize because it was b/w gears or something. I usually spin the shaft to make sure it's free as soon as the cases are together. I was not happy haha. You can always take the engine out, turn it upside down and split the cases. That way you leave the juggs on. Just be CAREFUL when putting it back. It's easy to not put the forks in the right place. Quote

locogato11283 Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 i agree. WCR has already had more extreme duneables come back this year than all of last year together. Quote

locogato11283 Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Really? Interesting... yep. shannon(spurdy) whose WCR 1-5 N down extreme duneable fucked up at my house a few weeks back talked to WCR and thats what they told him. apparently, last year they were using a spring on the rear tranny shaft where they are now using a spacer. thats what they think is causing the problem. i am not convinced thats what caused his tranny to go bad. i was noticing yesterday on a stock tranny that there is a clip inside the tranny case right behind the idler gear but before the gear. his tranny didnt have that clip and the gear was rubbing the inside of the case. i believe thats what caused the tooth to break off the gear. dajogejr Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Gotcha. By no means am I trying to stir a pot...this is honestly the first bad thing I've heard about them, and as you said..entirely possible it's not the tranny. Andy @ M&M has had great success with them AFAIK. Quote
