big bore dome help

i just got a set of big bore stroker domes and i cant seem to keep the bottom o-rings on them to install them because the seats are bigger , do they need big bore o-rings?

Did the o-rings and domes/head all come from the same place?

 

If you coat them with a little all purpose grease,just enough to make them tacky,they will stay i their grooves for installation. Thats how i have always done it.

Coat the o rings with some vasoline. It will melt when you first fire it up. Put the o ring on the dome, then set the dome over the cylinder. Do the same for the other one. Then put the o rings on the shell. Then slide the shell on. Dont try do put the domes in the shell and slide the whole thing on at once.

Not that I know of. I just used the regular ProDesign o ring kit when I ran big bore domes. They some times were tricky to get to stay on but I found if I done it like above I didnt have to many problems.

thanks i got them in but it was tricky they kept falling off even with vasoline but it helped a lot.

Try white lithium in a spray. The carrier dries in a few minutes and the rings stay in place pretty well.
