White97Banshee Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Hey y'all I have been looking around on this forum since I got the 'shee back in April but finally just started sharing some of my experiences with it. I was looking at Vito's parts and I noticed they sell a line of pistons labeled as "Super Stock". They are Wiseco pistons with a little beveled edge on the exhaust side of the piston which I guess is supposed to give the same effect as having your cylinders ported? I was just looking for any insight on these pistons because I was thinking of maybe using them the next time I have to rebuild the top end to squeeze a little extra power out of my bike without breaking the wallet. I currently have T5's, VF2's, the POS boost bottle that made my motor go boom, K&N pod filters, and is bored .040 over. Any help would be appreciated. ~Kyle Quote

The pistons are made by Wiseco themselves for Vito's specs though. Since the intake cuts are larger to let more fuel in would it lubricate a little better? Would these pistons still be reliable since they're made by Wiseco? I've grown to trust Wiseco pistons and they are the only ones I've used for rebuilds. Quote
RARRACING Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 iv had them in mine for 3 years and no loss in power i think there the best imo Quote

RARRACING Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 there the power pistons i put those in and some fmf pipes and no air box and i beat my friends bike that is bored and better exhaust i felt a difference Quote
VegasJeff Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 there the power pistons i put those in and some fmf pipes and no air box and i beat my friends bike that is bored and better exhaust i felt a difference x2 on that. I ran them for a year with the FMF's and no lid on the box.It wasn't a white knuckle ride, but just a little better. Quote
White97Banshee Posted October 11, 2009 Author Report Posted October 11, 2009 I've got K&N pods, T5's, and VF2 reeds. It screams as is but Vito's claims an extra 8 HP with their power pistons. I'll probably get them next time I have to rebuild just because I would be buying what I already would have bought but I get a little bit of extra juice, and it's a little cheaper than the top end kit from Motosport I usually get. Valin Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 All of that hp talk put aside....the Vito's pistons have a much thicker skirt, making them much more durable. The standard Wiseco skirts are too thin, and don't hold up to the abuse. Quote

I would be getting the Vito's anyways because they don't carry Wiseco cut ones in my bore size (65mm). Quote
volcrano Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 had them in my bike before my 4mil-dude no shit you could definately feel a power difference.my bike use to get blown by my buddies ported stocker by 6-7 bikes.it was 3 after vitos.they are built like a brick shithouse.get superstocks-made by wiseco.the intakes are huge compared to my stroker pistons!i loved them-wish they made stroker pistons with cut out.i dont even think it would hurt port timing.my buddy cut some wisecos and made the exhaust cutout and it did make a power difference.it was a hillbilly budget build lol.i still got mine, brand new lookin-theyre .20 tho.id recommend all day long.you'll notice a difference.you still cant fuck with an actual port job tho. Yeah but the way I see it this leaves me open to options. I can either get the mid-top cuts or the low-mid cuts and fine-tune it whenever I like, whereas if I get it ported it's kind of permanent. But if it's really that big a difference then it will probably be the next top end kit I buy. Quote
